MAGDALENA MOUNTAIN
THE COLOR OF THE MOUNTAIN I AM TOLD IS DUE TO OXIDATION OF THE IRON ORE ON THE MOUNTAIN.
Magdalena Mountain and the Lady on the mountain that is formed by the trees and leaving a clearing for a ladies profile some say, St. Mary Magdalene, name of the village. Especially visible in the summer time when it is green because that area is bare. Hard to see at first but once you find it you can always see it.
