ELEPHANT BUTTE AT "T OR C"
BEFORE THE DAM.
NOW ALTHOUGH THE WATER LEVEL IS DOWN.
THE ORIGINAL CITY OF HOT SPRINGS IN THE 1940'S TOOK UP A CHALLENGE BY A RADIO QUIZ SHOW TO CHANGE THEIR NAME. I DON'T RECALL THE INCENTIVE HOWEVER HOT SPRINGS DID IN FACT CHANGE ITS NAME TO TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES AND AN ADJOINING COMMUNITY THEN TOOK THE NAME OF HOT SPRINGS.
THE CITY OF "T OR C" AND THE ADJOINING ELEPHANT BUTTE DAM HAVE BEEN VISITED BY TRAVELERS FROM NEARLY EVERY CORNER OF THE EARTH, AND SOME FOLKS SAY FROM BEYOND ALSO?
